Here the product shows a presumably excellent sales figures with about 400 sales over the last 30 days, a fair price and a number of orders of just over 5,000. If we analyze the daily sales, we can see that the product is still selling every day:

So, it's a seemingly successful product. Well, don't think so! If we look at the growth in the number of orders this time, we finally realize that the product is going downhill:

This means that even if the product is still selling, it is being sold at a decreasing rate. Let's consider another example, but this time of a product that is doing really well. This time, if we analyze daily sales as well as the growth of orders, we can see that this product is a WINNER in constant growth. The product has a growing sales volume curve and excellent daily sales.

We notice, moreover, that sales tend to continue to increase despite the few variations depending on the day of the week. It is therefore a much more promising product than the previous one.

The key points to remember from this example are Just because a product sells several hundred units today doesn't mean it will continue to sell well tomorrow! As you come up with product ideas, consider analyzing the long-term sales trend. If the curve is rising, this is a good indicator. If it is stagnant or declining, the market is probably already saturated/overused. It will then be much harder to get into these markets and to sustain a business...
